Please read our affiliate program terms & conditions carefully before joining our program and promoting our product. These are written without legalese to ensure they’re clearly understood and followed by our affiliates. Approved affiliates are responsible for ensuring that its employees and contractors comply with these terms and conditions as well. Thank you.
We will let you know by email if you’ve been approved into the affiliate program within 2 business days of submitting your application. We review the website(s) and/or social media profile(s) in your application and reserve the right to decline any application we don’t feel is a good audience fit for Lasso. A list of common reasons why we decline applications will be included in the email you receive. If you feel we made an error, please don’t hesitate to reach out with more information about your audience and promotion plan so we can take a second look.
We offer 50% for the first two months on monthly subscriptions and 10% one-time on yearly subscriptions.
Our cookie window is 30 days on last touch clicks, so if your referrals don’t sign up right away, you’ll receive full credit if they come back and sign up within that timeframe, as long as they don’t click on someone else’s affiliate link after yours.
With three packages to choose from, affiliates have the opportunity to earn up to $299 per sale!
Here are more details on our commission structure:
- Earn 50% on the first two months for monthly Lasso subscriptions:
>> if your referred customer purchases a $39 a month package and stays on board for 2+ months, you’ll earn $19.50 the first month and $19.50 the second month.
>> If your referred customer purchases a $99 a month package but cancels after the first month, you’ll earn $49.50 the first month and $0 the second month.
- Earn 10%* one-time on yearly Lasso subscriptions:
>> If your referred customer purchases a $999 a year package, you’ll earn $99.90 for that sale.
If a customer purchases any package but cancels and requests a refund, you will not earn a commission. This is rare but it happens once in a while.
When Lasso runs pricing promos, affiliates earn slightly less in commissions but typically see more conversions.
- Payments are made via Paypal. You must have a Paypal account in order to get paid for your qualifying commissions. There is no minimum in order to receive your commission payment.
- Commissions are paid on the 7th of every month for conversions that have passed the refund window by 3 days. For example, you will receive payment on December 7th for conversions that took place between October 4th - November 4th. Once payment has been made, they will appear as paid in our affiliate platform.
Participating website(s) may not:
1. Infringe on Lasso’s or anyone else’s intellectual property, publicity, privacy or other rights or violate any law, rule or regulation.
2. Contain any content that is threatening, harassing, defamatory, racist, bigoted, homophobic, sexist, obscene, harmful to minors, or contains nudity, pornography or sexually explicit materials.
3. Contain any viruses, worms, Trojan horses, cancelbots, time bombs, or other computer programming routines that are intended to damage, interfere with, secretly intercept or expropriate any system, data, or personal information.
4. Contain software or use technology that attempts to intercept, divert or redirect Internet traffic to or from any other website, or that potentially enables the diversion of affiliate commissions from another website.
5. Partake in cookie stuffing, or the use of misleading popups and redirects.
- Please ensure you use the affiliate link provided in our affiliate platform, Tapfiliate, to ensure you receive credit for your traffic and conversions.
- You should only use your Lasso affiliate link on the website(s) and/or social media profile(s) you applied to in your affiliate application. If you want to use it elsewhere, please add that info to your affiliate profile or send us an email to discuss.
- Please abide by the promotional guidelines below when using your affiliate link.
- We do not allow self referrals, meaning you can’t use your affiliate link to purchase Lasso to get cash back. In rare cases, we allow self referrals on one year subscriptions, but you must contact us first to discuss otherwise the commission will be voided.
- You are welcome to use Lasso or other tools to manage your links. We just ask that the traffic we receive from you contains the referring URL(s) when possible. Purposely blocking that information (link cloaking) is not allowed.
Below you will find a list of the activities we allow and do not allow in each promotional category.
- Paid Ads:
>> You are allowed to use PPC and social media ads to promote Lasso, as long as you do not bid on our trademark terms (”getlasso” and “lasso”) or link directly to our website from the ads.
- Email:
>> You are allowed to use email marketing, as long as you abide by the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 (Public Law No. 108-187). This means subscribers opted into your newsletter themselves and gave you permission to contact them.
>> Please ensure email content is original and appears to be coming from your brand, not ours.
- Content:
>> Any and all content promotional methods are allowed, as long as the content is original and is written in your brand’s voice, with you as the author.
- Social:
>> You are welcome to share Lasso on social media, as long as you follow the platforms’ rules around affiliate marketing and are the admin on the accounts you’re posting on.
>> Please abide by the paid ads guidelines for social media ads.
- Sub-affiliates:
>> We welcome sub-affiliate sites, as long as you are transparent about where your traffic is coming from. Please refer to the never allowed list below to ensure those types of sites are not allowed to promote Lasso through your network.
- Paid Ads:
>> Do not use our trademarks “getlasso” and “lasso” anywhere on the ad or for brand bidding (negative match “lasso”), including using Lasso in combination with other words (i.e. “Lasso review”)
>> Do not link directly to Lasso from any paid ads (must land on your own website first)
- Email:
>> Do not promote Lasso to anyone who did not explicitly give you their permission to contact them via email, such as using purchased or stolen email lists. Must be compliant with CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 (Public Law No. 108-187).
>> Do not position any emails as coming from Lasso, they should appear to be coming from your brand, with original content.
- Content:
>> Do not copy content from any website, including Lasso’s, when crafting your promotional content. We share content ideas in our affiliate guide and newsletters, and are happy to provide you with personalized content suggestions upon request.
>> Please do not position your Lasso content as sponsored or written by Lasso.
- Social:
>> Please do not post Lasso affiliate links on social media profiles that don’t belong to you, or on platforms that do not allow affiliate marketing links. If you are doing social media ads, please follow our guidelines around paid ads.
- Sub-affiliates:
>> We are unable to work with sub-affiliate sites who block referring URLs of the affiliates in their networks or who are unable to exclude the Never Allowed sites below from promoting Lasso.
- We do not work with the following types of affiliates:
>> Shopping malls, coupon only sites, cashback or reward only sites, or search agencies.
We rarely offer discount codes. When we do, affiliates are allowed to promote them. We just ask that when the promotion period is over, you remove references to the discount from your website.
We will communicate any product or website changes that may affect your affiliate content. This includes pricing changes, new landing pages, trial length, and so on. We ask that you please update your content as soon as possible, this way your visitors will have a smooth experience when coming to our site to make a purchase.
If you are doing business in other countries, please follow the laws of those countries. For example, you must comply with the European Union's Privacy and Electronic Communications Directive if you are conducting business with persons in one or more of the European Union countries.
